Wineries
Wineries were the initial attraction to South East Seneca, where the vineyards produce some of the highest quality fruit in the Finger Lakes. The region's elongated sun exposure allows for extended ripening, earning it the nickname “the banana belt.” Quality fruit is the key ingredient in producing world-class wines.
Wagner Vineyards
Wagner Vineyards is the oldest winery in South East Seneca -- established in 1979 -- and is one of the largest certified sustainable grapegrowers in our region. Its tasting room is unique with an octagonal design and it offers flight tastings along with traditional, guided wine tastings. It's a destination winery, with a brewery and café on premise.
Ria’s Wines
Ria’s Wines is a family-owned winery focused on ecological farming, low-intervention winemaking, and warm, modern hospitality. Offering small-batch wines that reflect the region’s unique terroir, guests can enjoy custom flights, seasonal spritz slushies, and crafted snacks, with welcoming options for kids, too. Rasta Ranch Vineyards
Rasta Ranch is a proudly woman-owned winery with a rich history in the South East Seneca region. They are known for their “Wine for Good Times,” producing favorites like Piece of My Heart and Uncle Homer’s Red. They’re also known for their Monday Night Blues and Sunday Sessions, featuring local musicians who bring the community together. Vendor markets are held throughout the season, showcasing their artistic and creative spirit. Rasta Ranch offers a truly unique experience, adding a vibrant and eclectic vibe to the region.
Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards
Hazlitt 1852 is known for their great atmosphere and a fun tasting room experience. Their family has been in the area since 1852, and they pride themselves on making wine that is approachable, ranging from sweet natives to dry vinifera. Their tasting room is comfortable and welcoming to all. Along with wine tastings, they offer a fun experience at their outdoor area, The Oasis, which features wine slushies, cider, beer, and a relaxed hangout atmosphere with music during the summer months.
Leidenfrost Vineyards
Leidenfrost Vineyards is a small, family-run winery with its own vineyards. They offer a unique tasting room experience, specializing in dry reds, including their estate-grown Pinot Noir, as well as sparkling wines. Visitors can enjoy flight tastings, wine by the glass, and a beautiful deck to enjoy their wine and the view of Seneca Lake.
Hector Wine Company
Hector Wine Company specializes in small-batch wines crafted from estate-grown fruit. Their welcoming atmosphere, paired with bold and balanced wines, makes them a must-visit for wine lovers. Their locally sourced market allows guests to create their own charcuterie boards to enjoy on-site or to take home. They are well known for wines such as Sauvignon Blanc, Soul Red, and their Syrah. With extended hours, it’s also the ideal spot to unwind after work or to finish a day of wine tasting.
Red Newt Cellars
Red Newt Cellars has been a cornerstone of South East Seneca for nearly 25 years. Known for their award-winning Rieslings, they are dedicated to producing high-quality wines using fruit sourced from local vineyards just a few miles away. Their welcoming and knowledgeable tasting room staff are always ready to guide visitors through their extensive wine tasting list. Signature wines include the Circle Riesling, Hellbender Port, and Blue Newt White. In addition to their wines, they also have an espresso counter, offering cappuccinos and lattes to be enjoyed on their peaceful deck.

Forge Wine Cellars blends European heritage with a focus on Old World-style wines. Their Salon, where visitors gather for tastings, offers a welcoming experience with vibrant pops of color and a touch of European charm. With views of their vineyards and Seneca Lake, it’s a relaxed and inviting space that perfectly complements their wines.
Chateau Lafayette Reneau
Chateau Lafayette is a destination for wine lovers of all kinds, offering estate-grown wines crafted with both quality and care. With an extensive wine list that spans from award-winning vinifera wines to easy-drinking sweet native wines like Niagara, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Their tasting room offers incredible views of Seneca Lake, and the winery’s beautiful farm makes for an experience of it’s own.
Atwater Vineyards
Atwater is known for it’s estate grown wines and elevated experience. They offer wine flights, wine by the glass and bottle along with locally sourced meat and cheese boards. Their vista bar and patio allow guests to take in the views in the evening during the warmer season. Dry wines are their specialty, with many many options to choose ranging from Dry Riesling to their Blaufrankish.
J.R. Dill Winery
J.R. Dill is known for their quality wines and relaxed environment. They offer a welcoming approach to wine, with many years of experience in the industry. Their Cayuga White Risé is a fun, dry bubbly that is great for any celebration. If you're looking for a bold red blend, try their Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc. Wine Flights can be enjoyed on their deck, or paired with their snack menu.
