Brett Beardslee
Brett Beardslee was born in Hector, NY. He graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in acting which took him to New York and Los Angeles in pursuit of an acting career. The career was happening. Perhaps you saw Brett with his guitar on “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch”, or maybe you caught him on “Beverly Hills 90210”? In any case, the boy missed the country. He moved back to Hector. His music and poems became an expression of the feeling of futility of “making it” in the entertainment industry and the coming to grips of what’s really important when you turn your back and walk away. Brett’s clever, engaging, and often moving lyrics are balanced with his just plain “silly songs”. These songs are Brett’s way of blowing off steam in a crazy world and realizing that it’s okay to pick on each other and laugh. Brett is one hell of a Blues Guitar player and a gem of a musician. He still tools around in his 1958 Volkswagen Bus, Juicy Lucy (his tour bus for decades) We’re proud to have Brett launch this brand new concert series.
Jaimie Lee
Jaimie Lee grew up in North Carolina, where her love for music began. She always enjoyed singing and had an urge to write songs. Learning to play the guitar was the perfect avenue for this creative venture. Through high school and college, she played solo gigs at coffee shops, special events, and bars/restaurants. Her musical influences early on were Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Jim Croce, and Ingrid Michaelson among others. Now in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, she performs as a solo musician. She’s frequently described as having the "voice of an angel". Jaimie Lee has developed an Americana/folk/pop music style. She has a knack for putting her unique twist on cover songs and singing with a passion that will convince you those songs were her own. Her original songs are clever, thought provoking, and sometimes humorous with a hint of sass. We think you’ll love Jaimie as much as we do.
